This Wednesday we’ll be hosting another Deadshirt Date Night, and this time we’ll be watching Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man.

We’re not far away from another installment of Sony’s ongoing efforts to ensure we never get to see Spidey in an Avengers, so why not revisit the glory days when one of geekdom’s most beloved auteurs was bringing his favorite comic book superhero to life, imbuing every last frame with kinetic energy and excitement, only for his emotionally bereft leading man (Tobey Maguire) to sap every last ounce of that energy with his wonderfully one-note portrayal of the wall crawler.

So, join us Wednesday, April 16th, at 8:00 PM ET, for some celebratory webslinging with Spider-Man (available on Netflix instant) and chat with us about it on Twitter.
